Alpha Mae's story
She and her husband earn a living through fishing. They have been sustaining each day through this livelihood for many years. Meanwhile, the couple has two children; they are 4 and 2 years old.
Alpha Mae is now requesting a loan through Kiva’s field partner, CEVI (a Microfinance NGO) in the Philippines, to buy fishing nets and fish trap materials, such as plastic screens, bamboo and nylon string.
This way, she and her husband will be able to continue their fishing activity, allowing them to improve their catch and uplift their earnings for a better way of life.
Furthermore, she dreams for her children to finish their studies in the future.
