A loan helped to buy baby fish to raise on her farm.

Na Tau 15 Group's story

Dinh, 43, is a Thai ethnic woman who is married and lives with her husband and two sons, aged 18 and 15, in a Thai traditional stilt house in a poor and remote area. She and her husband are meticulous farmers who invest time and resources in their farm, with plenty of jobs such as growing rice and raising pigs, fish, and chicken to have a prosperous farm.

Dinh said that owing to the difficult situation of her family, she had to drop out of school when she was in primary school. That leads her to face a big challenge of accessing new agricultural knowledge. Also, the lack of capital means that her family is not expanding their farming business.

This is Dinh's first time taking a loan from the Anh Chi Em program to buy baby fish. She hopes they will grow up quickly and healthily to bring her family a great profit. She will use the profit to expand her fish raising business and invest in her children’s education.
