Atonia's story

Atonia is a 28-year-old woman who is married with one child, and they live in a community in Honiara, the capital of Solomon Island.

She runs a small marketing business selling cold lemon drinks, betel nuts, leaf and cigarettes at the market to earn a living. She has been in this business for two years.

Atonia has requested a loan to pay for additional betel nuts, sleeves of cigarettes, sugar, lemon fruits and a cooler to assist her with her business.

She plans to use her profits to meet her family's weekly expenses and improve her business.

She joined SPBD in 2019 to gain access to financial services for her business.
