Lerma's story

Lerma is a 56-year-old businesswoman from Guimba, Nueva Ecija. She is widowed and blessed with three children who are still pursuing their studies.

She has been engaged in direct selling of underwear, lotions, whitening soaps, etc. for almost eight years. The income she makes is the source of their daily living. Lerma wants to generate a higher income for her business, so she applied for a loan of 35,000 PHP through ASKI under its business loan program.

Her loan proceeds will be used to buy additional products such as clothes, makeup, hygienic kits, etc. to generate a higher income to support her family's daily needs. Lerma's dream is for her children to finish their studies and to have a better standard of living.

Lerma believes and prays that, with the help of ASKI and KIVA lenders, she will have a general merchandise store one day.
