Assitan's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy 60 bags of sprouted millet and some wood and to save to look after her children.

Assitan's story

Assitan is a widow of 57 and mother of four children aged from 17 to 39, two of which go to school. She prepares and sells dolo (a local drink). She sells her drinks wholesale and her customers come to stock up every time. She has been doing this business for 12 years. She is on her sixth loan cycle with the IMF Yikri and she repaid her first Kiva loan without a problem. She is requesting a new loan to buy 60 bags of sprouted millet and some wood for the preparation of her local drink and to satisfy customer demand. She plans to use the profits to reinvest in the business and to save to look after her children.
Finally, she thanks Yikri and its partners for the support they give to non-bankable entrepreneurs. Thanks to the loans from Yikri, she is managing to save to take care of her children.
