01_Mbarika Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy chicks for her poultry farm and food-serving business.

01_Mbarika Group's story

This banc villageois was established in June 2007 and comprises six women who live in the same community. The women support each other and maintain good neighbourly relations. Their main activity is trade. They have repaid numerous loans without difficulty.

Madame Fatima, the woman raising her hand on the right side of the photo, is the representative. She is 54 years old, married, and the mother of eight children. She has three daughters and two sons who attend school.

Madame Fatima has a food-serving business and also raises poultry. She gets her provisions from wholesalers and operates between her home and the city market. She has over 30 years of trade experience.

With her loan, she plans to buy one bag each of millet and corn, and two pails of peanut butter for her food-serving business. She also plans to purchase 50 chicks, ten bags of feed, and to pay for vaccines for her poultry farm.

Fatima does well because she prepares delicious meals and is highly regarded in both her neighbourhood and the market. She uses her profits to increase her savings with the banc villageois, ensure her children's education, and take care of small necessities.
