A loan helped to buy a sewing machine and necessary sewing supplies for making gold-stitched embroidery.

Nigina's story

Nigina is 31 years old, unmarried, and lives with her parents. She is from Panjakent, Tajikistan.

Nigina is a seamstress and accepts orders for traditional dresses. She began her sewing business five years ago and has been attracting loyal customers ever since. Nigina also practices a type of traditional embroidery called gulduzi (meaning gold-stitched) and receives many orders.

Nigina wants to speed up her work and improve the quality. She needs to buy a sewing machine and necessary sewing supplies for producing gulduzi embroidery.

This will improve the quality of her work and help her attract more customers, but she does not have enough money at the moment. For this reason, she is reaching out to the lenders.

Nigina is requesting a Kiva loan from IMON in order to buy a sewing machine for producing her embroidery so that she can improve the quality of her work and attract more customers.

She depends on the support and help from the lenders.
