A loan helped to buy seeds.
Malisa Business Group's story
Twenty-one-year old Sarah, in a blue shirt, is married with three children who all attend school. She grows millet and sorghum while her husband does cattle keeping for additional income.
Sarah is requesting a loan from VisionFund Uganda to buy seeds. With a dream of becoming a large scale farmer, she needs more seeds to enlarge her farm. Sarah wants to become a commercial supplier of sorghum and millet, however with her current produce she is unable to supply in large numbers. With these seeds she will be able to plant on a large scale and thus yield on a large scale enabling her to supply commercially to all her customers and so increasing her incomes.
With income from the commercial sales, Sarah will then be able to construct a shop where she will direct all her customers, hence cutting the cost of having to transport produce to the markets.
She is grateful to Kiva for the financial support.
