Shames Group's story

Rihab is the featured borrower of Shames group which consists of three Lebanese women. She is a 51-year-old divorced mother of two children for whom she works very hard and takes very good care of. Rihab started her own food production business in 2013 in order to benefit from an income to be able to cover her children's living expenses. She is a persistent mother who will do whatever it takes to provide her children with their needs.

Rihab came along with Jana and Safaa to acquire a loan from Kiva's field partner Al Majmoua to help their families. Her loan share will be used to buy some raw materials and flour for her food production business in order to diversify her products and attract more customers.

Rihab hopes to expand her business more in the future and she will keep striving for the sake of her children.
