A loan helped to buy 'quintales' [a quintal is about 100 lb] of corn and beans.

Maria Antonia's story

María is 23 years old. She is in a common-law marriage, and she lives with her life partner in the Puerto Cortes municipality. She has been in the business of selling groceries for one year. The business is located at her house. She sells products for domestic use, fruits, vegetables, meats, condiments, dairy products, dried seeds, corn, beans, and rice.

She is requesting a loan for 6,000 lempiras to buy 'quintales' [a quintal is about 100 lbs.] of corn and beans. Her dream is to have her own place.
