Th_Gawlo Group's story

These five women are part of a group which was established in December 1998. They live in the same village and enjoy cordial and solidarity relations. Their main business is trade. They have a good mastery of loans.

Mrs Gawlo, the representative, is 79 years old and is sitting down on the right, with her hand raised. She is a widow and the mother of two adult children.

Mrs Gawlo, who is known by her loved ones as Mame Coumba, runs a small business selling coal, wood and peanuts. She gets her supplies from regions and resells them in the village.

She would like to purchase 80 bags of coal, a truck load of heating coal and 20 bags of peanuts, which she plans to resell with a large profit margin.

Her profits will allow her to increase her savings and grow her business.
