Mon Paco Farmers Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to build a pig sty to protect her pigs from climatic changes and pests and raise healthy pigs.

Mon Paco Farmers Group's story

Joyce, 60, is married with six children. Four of her children attend school in Gulu, Uganda. She does piggery, and her husband grows rice and millet for additional income.

Joyce's agricultural ventures are challenged by climatic changes and pests that affect her pigs. She is requesting a loan from Vision Fund Uganda to construct a pig sty. With a roof over her pigs, she says rains will not affect her farm and she will be able to fight pests, since her pigs will no longer be moving around. Joyce hopes for healthy pigs, which she will sell at a good price in the markets. With her income, she will be able to construct a permanent house for her old age.

She is thankful to Kiva for the financial support.
