Th_Ndéye Group's story

This "banc villageois" was created in June of 2015 and brings together five women who come from the same area and enjoy good relations. They have several types of business. They have repaid over 5 loans at maturity.

45-year-old Ndéye is the group representative and is standing on the right of the photo raising her hand. She is married and the mother of 5 children, one of whom is a boy. The youngest is 6 years old and they all attend school.

Ndéye has a small business selling clothes and dried fish. She gets her supplies at the central market and in the coastal regions and she resells them in her district. She has a good experience of over 3 years in this line of work.

She plans to use her loan to buy 35 items of children's clothing, 40 pairs of shoes, 50 school bags, and 5 baskets of dried fish which she will resell with the hope of making a good profit. Her business is going well because she sells good quality merchandise.

Her profits enable her to cover her small expenses and those of her children, and to support her husband with the family expenditures.
