A loan helped to buy various fruit for resale.

Th_Rokhaya Group's story

This group is part of the "banc villageois" created in July 2008. It's made up of six hard-working women who live in the same village and share real bonds of friendship, solidarity, and family. They have benefited from over 15 loans and repaid them all at maturity. Their main activity is retail.

57-year-old Nogaye is the group representative. She is standing on the right of the photo raising her hand. She is married and the mother of 7 children, 4 of whom are boys.

Nogaye has a business selling fruit. She buys the produce in her village and resells it at the market in the capital. She has a good experience of over 20 years in this line of work.

She will use her part of the loan to buy fruit wholesale (papayas, mangoes, soursop, etc.) which she will resell to retail customers for a decent profit. Her business is going well and she manages to sell her goods easily.

Her profits enable her to take care of her needs and to support her husband with the family expenditures.
