A loan helped to buy new and used clothing.

Las Chinitas Group's story

Virginia, 40, is the mother a three children, a businesswoman who has had a used and new clothing business for seven years. She started her business to help her spouse with the family expenses and to get her children ahead. At first she made and sold enchiladas, then she worked in sewing and cut coffee on farms near her community during the coffee season.

Virginia belongs to the Las Chinitas communal bank, made up of Martha and Clema who also work selling new and used clothing. With her first Kiva loan Virginia managed to improve her business. She increased her inventory and her income, achieving her proposed goal.

Now she's requesting a second Kiva loan from Fundenuse to buy merchandise (clothing).

Her current short-term goal is to be able to distribute her merchandise in other parts of the community. And her goal for the future is still to buy furniture for her business (display case and clothes rack) so she can display her merchandise; she also wants to buy a refrigerator so she can sell ice cream and beverages.
