A loan helped to establish the cocoa crop and offer a better harvest to his customers.

Yover's story

Yover, age 25, lives with his partner and their five year old child. They work growing cocoa and coffee. They have always tried to improve their harvest by means of technical assistance and training.

On this occasion, Yover has applied for a loan for the establishment and modification of the cocoa crop on half a hectare. He wants to obtain a better product in order to offer a good harvest to his customers.

On those days when Yover does not work in his farm plot, he works doing other maintenance tasks on other lots. Additionally, he and his wife sell products such as milk, oil, rice, and sugar, among other items, from their little store, located in the front part of their house.

The biggest motivation this couple has is they want to be able to build their own home from solid materials, and to increase and improve the production from their cocoa and coffee crops so that they'll bring in more monthly income.

Yover is considered an early riser and hard worker, with the desire to keep improving and growing as a farmer.
