Yumantay Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to invest in clothing manufacturing and providing a better service.

Yumantay Group's story

Maria is 47 years old and she has three children. Two are adults and the youngest is 17 years old. Four years ago she started in the seamstress and tailoring business. Her business is in the front of her house, where she also has a machine to make photocopies and also sells jewelry (necklaces, earrings and silver rings).
On this occasion, she is requesting a loan through Kiva to invest in clothing manufacturing. She makes suits for schools or workers. Her spouse works in the purchase and sale of wood. They both support their youngest daughter so that she can continue studying with the goal of becoming a professional.
Her main objective is to set up a bazaar, such as an assorted store where she can sell and provide seamstress services.
Maria has always considered herself a woman dedicated to her children, to her home, persevering, cheerful and hardworking. That is why she was chosen as president and leader of the "Yumantay" communal bank, made up of 8 members.
