Juventud Guayaquil Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to invest in de-weeding cacao plants to have a better harvest and serve her customers well.

Juventud Guayaquil Group's story

Martina is 45 years old and is hard-working, responsible and dedicated to her family. For more than 30 years she has worked in farming, sowing cacao. She also sells “chicha” (a corn liquor) and fizzy drinks. Martina tries to have an additional source of income because, at times, growing cacao does not generate such a high income as the price usually goes down.

Martina will use this loan to carry out de-weeding work on her cacao plants in order to grow a better harvest. Martina’s biggest dream is to have her own plot of land in the city of Lima.

Martina is currently a member of the “Jueventud Guayaquil” loan group, which has eleven members and is lead and represented by Martina.
