Thank you for the impact you’ve made this year! Together we’ve funded more than 170,000 loans and raised more than $120 million for financially excluded people around the world. It costs us more than $3 to facilitate each $25 loan, and we rely on optional donations from individuals like you to cover our costs.

Xiprianecas Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to enlarge her pig corral and buy more pigs as well as feed for them.

Xiprianecas Group's story

Ana is the 21-year-old president of the Friendship Bridge Trust Bank Xiprianecas located in a rural area in the department/state of Solola. She is single, lives with her parents, has a high school diploma and works in the family animal husbandry business (chickens, pigs). Ana has 3 younger siblings and helps her parents with household expenses. She has planned carefully and wants to enlarge the pig corral, buy more pigs to fatten up and feed for them. She appreciates the kindness and generosity of Kiva investors.

There are 9 Maya K’iche ladies in the Trust Bank who look forward to their monthly meetings when they offer each other support, make loan payments and participate in educational trainings. Microcredit Plus is what Friendship Bridge calls the combination of loans, education and health care services. A facilitator, using pictures, drawings, games and role playing, shares information with them drawn from 4 areas: business, health, family, women. Every other month, the ladies have access to basic health care services. Because it is difficult or impossible for them to access loan support, health care and continuing education, the women are most appreciative.

Thank you, Kiva investors, for learning about Ana and her friends and for funding their much appreciated loans. They are opening doors to a brighter future that is more empowered and successful!
