309 Twitezimbere Group's story

Ester is married with three children. She is living happily with her partner in the Kabarore community in the west of the country. For the past 18 years, Ester has owned a general store and sells beans, rice and maize. Her business is organized, but lack of enough capital prevents Ester from reaching her goal to improve the business. That is why she is requesting a loan, so that she can overcome her challenges by purchasing more variety items such as: beans, rice and maize to sell.

Ester is a very hard working woman because she is also a tailor and when she has too many things to do, her husband helps her. What is the reason of doing all those things? Esther always wants to show in the community that women are capable to work multiple duties in order to raise her family.

With any profits, Ester will be able to educate all her children without any problem, as well as expand her business. Also she hopes her family’s life will improve. This is her 9th loan with VisionFund Rwanda, and she is the 309 TWITEZIMBERE Group leader. In the picture, Ester has raised her hand.
