Th_Ndella Group's story

This group consists of 13 women who are members of the banc villaegois which was inaugurated in 2002. They live in the same village and share relations of kinship, friendship and solidarity. They mainly work in trade.

Ndéye Maye is 57 years old and the group representative. On the picture she is standing on the left with her hand raised. She is married and has six children: three girls and three boys who all go to school.

She has a small business of various food products. She buys them in bulk from the producers and retails them at her local market. She is very experienced, having worked in this sector for over ten years.

With the loan, Ndéye Maye wants to buy garlic, pepper, cashew nuts and more to resell with a profit margin. She doesn’t struggle to sell all her stock.

The profits she makes help her to build her savings, support herself and help with the family expenses.
