Mercy's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to gain access to cost-efficient hybrid seeds and fertilizer for crop cultivation for this woman with good credit history.

Mercy's story

Mercy (45-year-old mom of three) is the true definition of a hard worker and an ever-smiling happy woman. She is a farmer in Kerugoya, engaging in dairy farming and growing crops. She produces milk and crops for commercial purposes, as opposed to many rural farmers who produce for subsistence. She adores and cherishes her family, and she is determined to give them a healthy lifestyle.

In the modern world, agriculture has become exceedingly dynamic, upgrading the kind of inputs that are being used in the sector today. Therefore, there is a need to use improved farming inputs for effective production.

Due to continuous crop growing, the nutrients in Mercy’s soil have slowly been depleted. This, together with attacks by weeds and pests, has lowered the quality of her farm produce. That is why she is seeking a loan to buy farm inputs such as certified-quality seeds to improve crop farming and eventually, through increased profits, to improve her standard of living.

Using this loan, Mercy will be able to expand her enterprise. Mercy hopes you will consider her appeal for the loan; it would mean a lot to her and her family.
