A loan helped to pay for farm inputs and buy fertilizers to grow more banana crops on her farm.

Jacinta's story

Jacinta (a 67-year-old mom of three and two are school-going children) is an intelligent woman who has risen to modern methods in the agricultural world. Her childhood was very challenging, and because of this, she promised herself that she would work hard to get out of poverty. She strives to ensure that she is able to meet the basic needs of her household. As a mother of two and a caring woman, Jacinta is very focused on sustaining her family.

In the today's world, agriculture has become very dynamic. The methods that are being used in the sector have been improved. Farmers need to use improved farming inputs for effective production.

Jacinta is seeking a loan of 35,000 Kenyan shillings (KES), which she will use to pay for farm inputs and buy fertilizers to grow more banana crops on her farm. It takes a lot for a smallholder farmer to risk limited available resources to expand a farm business. With your help, Jacinta will be able to pay the high cost of farm inputs necessary for expansion.

A significant portion of the profits will be invested back into the business to allow for growth. Jacinta wants to set a good example and foundation for her two children. Jacinta really hopes for your help and contribution.

Jacinta thanks you in advance.
