A loan helped to buy fishing line and grocery items for resale.

Th_Fatou Group's story

This banc villageois was created in 2015. These six women live in the same neighborhood, have good relationships, and support one another. Their main activity is retail. They have already paid back several loans successfully.

Their representative is Thiaba. She is 57 years old and is the one on the right of the picture who raises her hand. She is married and has six children one of whom is a girl. Madame Thiaba sells fishing line and grocery items (cakes and ice cream). She buys her products from wholesalers and works from her home. She has 15 years of experience in this sector.

With the loan, she wants to buy fishing line, flour, sugar, baobab fruits, and other ingredients she needs to prepare her cakes and ice cream. Her business is thriving because she lives in a fishing village near the wharf.

Her profits will allow her to support her children, to save some money, and to participate in the household expenses.
