Avelina's story

Avelina is a hardworking mother and farmer from Muñoz, Nueva Ecija. She is happily married to Julio, and blessed with one child.

For more than five years, she has been selling pigs for making “lechon” (whole roasted pig). She earns a quarterly income of 15,000 PHP.

Avelina has been granted a loan in the amount of 40,000 PHP under the housing loan program of ASKI. She will use the funds to buy materials like cement, hollow blocks, steel bars, a galvanized roof, lumber, etc. for the renovation of their house.

Her dream is to expand her piggery business, and for her family to have a better living.

Avelina believes that her dream will come true with the support of ASKI and the Kiva lenders.
