Juntos Al Progreso Group's story

Oscar is 45 years old, married, and the father of two children. He is a merchant, an honest, humble and very hard-working person. He began selling comales [a type of griddle] since in his community they work making crafts. He sold as a street vendor. The people asked him if he also sold vegetables and it was then that he realized that there was a business opportunity selling vegetables and he decided to undertake it. He has been selling vegetables for eight years now.

He belongs to a solidarity group, Juntos al Progreso, with two other members. Juaquin works selling comales and Santos sells basic grains. He asks for a loan from Fundenuse to purchase vegetables. He has as his next goal to work a lot so as not to let his business fail, and to get ahead with making his payments. His future goal is to be able to make improvements to his house.
