Silva's story

Get to know Silva, a hard-working farmer from Koti village. She shares her living with her husband, two grown-up children and an elderly mother-in-law.

The area where they live is considered to be a conflict zone. Due to this fact, they meet many obstacles creating a sustainable living. Aside from that, due to unemployment in the area, her son migrated to find a job in Russia.

Silva and her husband put all their efforts to keep their inspiring farm at a productive level. On their farm, they keep pigs, piglets, bee families and chicken.

However, the most astonishing part is their garden, where they cultivate strawberries, plums, apples, nuts and beans. Thanks to the sales of agro-products, the family somehow supports their living.

Farming needs constant care and enhancements. Thus, Silva applied for financial support to pay for agro-machinery. This will surely help her manage the cultivation of their land more effectively and thereby have a prosperous harvest.

Silva is full of hope to increase the agro-business income so that her son returns to the homeland.
