Nancy's story

Nancy is a 38-year-old businesswoman from Laur, Nueva Ecija. She is happily married to Ruben and they are blessed with three children who are still pursuing their studies. For about 5 years, she has been engaged in a piggery business selling pig's meat for butcher. She has been a good-paying client of Alalay sa Kaunlaran (ASKI), Inc. for about two years.

Nancy has been entrusted with a loan amounting to PHP 70,000 under the agricultural program of ASKI. Her loan proceeds will be used to buy feed and vitamins for her pigs so that they will grow faster, which may help her to gain more income. Nancy's dream is to expand her piggery business so that she was able to create employment to the farmers. She believes that with the help of ASKI and Kiva lenders, she will be a successful businesswoman.
