Hellen's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy farm inputs, including seeds for planting, and use the additional income from her farm to educate her children.

Hellen's story

This is Hellen (born in 1978 and the mom of 5 school-going children, pictured in her simple house), a beautiful mother who has beautiful princesses.

Out of financial necessity, she started farming a few years ago. Hellen is from the Kitale area of Kenya, near the famous Rift Valley escarpment. Kitale is always referred to as the bread basket area of Kenya.

Over the years, she has gathered much experience and is considered among the best farmers in her village. Her primary sources of income have been milk and crops.

Although she makes profits from farming, she is not comfortable and has always wanted to increase her income by planting, harvesting and selling more food crops. That is why she is seeking this loan to buy farm inputs such as seeds.

Kenya's Kitale area, one of the country's most populated regions, has a high demand for food. By adding more food crops to her farming activities, Hellen could increase her profits and satisfy the demand that is there. Hellen believes that this loan will be of much help and that she will be able to satisfy the demand for food. She also believes that the extra income she earns will enable a change in her life and increase her business.

Increased profits will allow Hellen to repay this loan and secure the future of her school-going children.
