La Rinconada Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support
A loan helped , Micaela, to buy four goats for her animal husbandry business.
La Rinconada Group's story
It is now time for 34-year-old Micaela to buy four goats, and she is requesting her sixth Kiva loan to accomplish this. Some of the income will be carefully set aside for the education of her children.
Micaela looks forward to her monthly Trust Bank meetings, when she convenes with six other Maya K’iche friends. All of the women live in the department/state of Quiche. They proudly wear their colorful traditional clothing, which they often weave and sew themselves. Their educational training is vital to their success and covers the four areas of business, health, family and women. Micaela shares that, “I have learned to make a budget and also how to put aside some of my income for possible future emergencies.” The ladies also have access to basic healthcare services. The combination of loans, education and healthcare services is called “Microcredit Plus”.
Thank you, Kiva investors, for your kindness in funding these much appreciated loans!
