Almakul's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy a dairy cow to increase her cattle headcount and sales of organic milk.

Almakul's story

The 60-year-old Almakul is a widow with two sons. She has a higher education, and is diligent, purposeful, and enterprising by nature. She is well familiar with agricultural techniques and knows how to use resources for their intended purpose. She has been raising livestock since 1991, and this is her family's main source of income. Thanks to Almakul's hard work, she has been able to develop her farm, so that it now consists of a cow, 14 sheep, a horse, and a 1.8-hectare plot of irrigated land on which she grows beans.

In order to develop her business further, Almakul has turned to Bai Tushum Bank for a loan of 60,000 som (KGS), to buy a dairy cow. Her aim in this is to increase her sales of organic milk and her cattle-breeding income. She is planning to put the income generated by the loan into developing her farm yet further, improving her family's well-being, and building a family home.
