Baktygul's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy dairy cows in order to increase her volume of milk sales to a local plant.

Baktygul's story

The 26-year-old Baktygul is married, with two children. She has a secondary education, and has been raising livestock and growing crops since 2016. This is her family's main source of income. Thanks to Baktygul's hard work and her husband's help with the farm, it presently consists of two cows, ten sheep, and a 1.75-hectare plot of land on which she grows beans. She has a contract to deliver organic milk to a local plant, where it is processed into dairy products. This permits Baktygul to invest continuously in her agricultural business.

After learning that she could obtain a loan from Bai Tushum Bank using the contract for future deliveries as collateral under a Value-Added Chain arrangement, Baktygul has applied for a loan of 100,000 som (KGS), to buy dairy cows. Her goal in this is to increase the amount of milk she sells. The plant's payments for the milk will be deposited directly into Baktygul's bank account, and the loan payments will be automatically deducted. The income generated by the loan will help Baktygul develop her business going forward and give her children a quality education.
