A loan helped a member from the Egyptian vulnerable community to buy some new furniture so his parents and his siblings will have a more comfortable shelter.
David's story
David is a 19-year-old member from the vulnerable Egyptian community, living in Korca city with his parents and his three siblings. To help his mother to provide for the family, David works in a shoe factory, while during weekends he is a driver for a taxi that goes mainly in Greece, just to provide some extra income.
Since David's father has been disabled, and unable to work, for a long time now, it has been very difficult for his mother to provide for the family's consumption, and this is why they have not done any repairs or changed any furniture at their house in a long time now.
David is hoping for the first time for a loan to buy some new furniture so his parents and his siblings will have a more comfortable shelter.
David thanks you all for the support and wishes all the best to all Kiva lenders. "You have been a big support for all members of vulnerable communities in Albania!" said David during the interview, referring to Kiva lenders.
