Mele's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy mulberry and other materials for her tapa-making business.

Mele's story

Meet Mele. She is 28 years old and married with three children. Her husband is a farmer. They live at their own home, and only one child has entered primary. Mele is running a business of tapa making, and she is joining a group of tapa making women in their village. They conduct the tapa making only once in a week. In their tapa making, they make lots of tapas, and divide them among them. Mele decorates the tapa herself, since she is self-employed and works on her own. She then exports her products to family overseas, and also sells the tapas to random people at the local market. Her business has been their main source of income for years now. Mele made a huge recovery since her business was badly affected last year. Her mulberry plantation has been re-planted, and her husband helps her with that. She is a very hard working woman, that works for the benefits of her family. She applied for a loan to buy mulberry for her business because her mulberry plantation is still not ready and mature to be used.
