Amie's Best Female Farmers Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay for improved seed, organic inputs and tractor rental which will allow these farmers to escape subsistence by farming a larger area with a higher yield.

Amie's Best Female Farmers Group's story

Amie F (1st on left), featured borrower of Amie's Best Female Farmers, is a master farmer in Matoko village and has a large family of 11. She is a strong leader in the community, and regularly organizes women's activities. She is a seasoned farmer who lost her business during the ebola crisis as well as several extended family members. Amie refuses to give up despite losing a lifetime of work, and organised a large group of other women who similarly had prospered before the crisis, lost everything but now will not give up.

All members are currently trapped in a cycle of subsistence and take extremely high-interest loans for poor quality inputs during planting time. A no-interest Kiva loan will therefore enable this group of determined women to get back on their feet and back in business.
