Philomena's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy more hair extension to sell and other materials that will be used to braid hair.

Philomena's story

Philomena is 42 years old. She is divorced and has two children, aged 20 and 23 years. Both of her children are out of high school and live at home.

She is a hardworking businesswoman who sells hair extensions and braids hair in order to support her children. She learned this trade by herself. She has no problems with her business. She transports goods to her business site by the means of a car. Philomena says she enjoys selling because it gives her more money on a daily basis, and she is proud of her business because it has improved the life of her family.

To help expand her business, Philomena applied for a loan through BRAC Liberia, a Kiva field partner. She plans to use the loan to buy more hair extensions to sell and other materials that will be used to braid hair. Her dream for the future is to own a store. She wishes to say thanks.
