Korto's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more oil and soap to sell.

Korto's story

This is 43-year-old Korto, she is married and has 6 children; all live at home while attending school. Her husband works as a driver to earn extra income. Korto is a hardworking business woman who sells oil and soap in a busy market place. She got her initial capital from her husband and her mother taught her the trade. She uses a taxi to transport supplies to her business site. Korto sells six days per week, and 6 hours per day. For the past 10 years, she has been managing her sales without any problems. To maintain her business, she requested for a loan through BRAC Liberia, a Kiva Field Partner, to buy more oil and soap to sell to her good clients. She likes her business because it helps to support her family. Her ambition is to build her house in the future. Korto wishes to say thanks.
