Rose's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy farming inputs such as certified seeds and fertilizers to improve her farm's output and help this mom who is the backbone of her family's economic perfomance.

Rose's story

Rose is 54 years old and a mom of three with two attending school. She is the backbone of her family’s economic performance. Her determination and selflessness have enabled her family to maintain a solid reputation. She has made profits and earned independence and job security over the last few years.

Rose is married and lives with her husband and children in a remote village in the Kenyenya area of Kenya. She is a committed and devoted farmer who entirely depends on farming. Rose has used part of her savings in agriculture to send her three lovely children to school.

Rose is seeking a loan of 70,000 KES which she will use to buy certified seeds and high-nutrient fertilizers to expand her crop farm. By scaling up her business, she will reduce production costs and increase output.

Rose's strategy is to use the returns from the investment to pay for more farm inputs, a lack of which is a major problem that leads to the closing down of many farms due to poor quantity and quality of yields. She will, therefore, be able to increase her profits. This will elevate her standard of living as well as that of her beautiful children.
