but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy a pig to increase milk production.

Maria Hortensia's story

Maria is a 66-year-old woman who is characterized as being a fighter, hard-worker, and optimistic. She lives with her husband and three grandchildren in the rural community of Chicho Caico. Her husband works as a day laborer in order to support the household expenses.

Maria has worked in milk production for five years. In her free time, she takes care of the house and her grandchildren. She's been a member of the bank since 2015 when she started her business with one cow. With each loan, she has been able to grow her business and obtain more income to support the household expenses.

This time, she is asking for a new loan to buy a cow in order to increase her milk production. Her dream is to continue working to give her family a stable lifestyle and have good health in her old age.
