A loan helped to purchase a large quantity of bananas in order to make local drinks to sell.

Abizerimana 718 Group's story

Seraphine is a widow and has two children aged between 14 and 17 years. She is a leader of the group called Abizerimana 718. In the picture, she is the one who has raised up her hand.

She sells local drinks to the community. The daily hours of her business are from 6 a.m to 8 p.m. Seraphine has 8 years of experience in this work and she is organized in her business.

Lack of enough capital prevents Seraphine from reaching her target, and that why she has requested a Kiva loan, via VisionFund Rwanda, to purchase a large quantity of bananas in order to make local drinks to sell.

With any profits, Seraphine will save money for her future, reinvest in her business, and pay school fees for her children.

Seraphine said that even if she does not have a husband to help her raising the children, she will show the community that she can, and in the future she has a plan of teaching other widows how they can develop themselves.
