Christina's story

Christina is a 48-year-old businesswoman from Gabaldon, Nueva Ecija. She is happily married to Reynaldo, a farmer, and blessed with two children. She has been engaged in a sari sari store selling chips, bread, candies, canned goods, etc. for almost nine years.

Christina has been a good paying client of Alalay Sa Kaunlaran Inc. (ASKI), for about five years. Her previous loan was used for the improvement of their convenience store. She has been granted again a loan amounting to 60,000 PHP under the business loan program of ASKI.

Her loan will be used to buy additional products, such as soft drinks, noodles, and condiments, to gain more income to support her family needs. Christina is looking forward to the expansion of her store and for her children to finish their studies. Christina believes that with the help of ASKI and Kiva lenders, she will become a great micro-entrepreneur.
