A loan helped to buy cartons of noodles, biscuits, sugar, rice, and flour for her general store business.

Ethel's story

Ethel is 45 years old and she is married, with six children. They live in a rural community outside Honiara, capital of Solomon Island.

She runs a small general store business selling rice, noodles, biscuits, and sugar in her community and at the market to earn a living. She has been in this business for three years.

Ethel has requested a loan to pay for additional cartons of noodles, biscuits, sugar, rice, and flour to increase her stocks and assist her in running her business.

She plans to use her profits to meet her family's financial needs and improve her business.

She joined SPBD in 2019 to gain access to financial services.
