Sartañani Group's story
The “Sartañani” group is represented by Mrs. Gloria Delfina and is maD. up of 10 members, of which 8 are women and 2 are men. Mrs. Gloria Delfina is the mother of a family. Her husband went abroad to work and from time to time sends supplies for their children. She is the mother of two school-aged children and thus she has to work all day in the stand selling slippers, sandals, and rubber shoes to get some income for their books and school supplies. The money that her husband sends is only enough to pay the rent of their house and for small savings to be used to buy a piece of land. This will give them a more comfortable living situation and a better future for their children. The loan is for the purchase of merchandise from wholesale distributors. The rest of the members work in selling handicrafts, tailoring, cleaning supplies and selling food. There is a lot of competition in the market but they are valued for the speed they have to change and proviD. merchandise appropriate to the season and the demands of the market. The loan is mostly for increasing their working capital and to acquire merchandise, ingredients and materials to enlarge their stands and improve their earnings as they did in their first loan cycle. Then they always demonstrated punctuality, responsibility and the desire to get ahead and continue growing.
