Sonia Maria Leonor's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase a planting kit (certified seeds, urea, fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides) and clothing orders.

Sonia Maria Leonor's story

The primary income in the city of Calceta is agriculture, raising animals, sales, and making crafts with mocora straw, cotton and a variety of sweets made with eggs and dairy products.

Sonia is 54 years old, in a common-law marriage, has an adult and independent child, and her spouse is a teacher. They own their house.

To get her family ahead and contribute to the household expenses, Sonia works selling a variety of clothing for women, men and children. She makes her sales door-to-door and in her house where she has a wide variety. She purchases these from distributors in Santo Domingo. She collects weekly or as her customers are able.

She also has a farm, which produces bananas, plantains, and cacao. She sells these in the market to merchants. With this new loan, she will purchase a planting kit (certified seeds, urea, fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides) and clothing orders.

Her dream is to have a much larger farm with a greater variety of products and to continue being very healthy.
