Zipporah's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy farm inputs such as fertilizer for use on her banana crop farm so she can earn greater profits to improve her standard of living.

Zipporah's story

Greetings from Kerugoya, Kenya!

Zipporah (a 39-year-old mom of 3) is a woman of honesty who has a charming character. She is the mother of lovely children and is a rural smallholder farmer from the area of Kerugoya, Kenya. She is married to a fellow farmer. Her family's main income source is milk from their dairy farm. However, they are also involved in other agricultural activities such as growing banana crops.

The biggest problem that farmers from her village face is the huge deficit in terms of access to agricultural inputs, meaning that farmers’ yields and incomes are far below what they could be.

Juhudi Kilimo partnered with Kiva to provide financial services to smallholders around Kenya. Through these financial services, farmers from her village, like Zipporah, can now buy productive assets and important agricultural inputs for use on their farms.

Zipporah is seeking a loan to buy farm inputs such as fertilizers to improve her banana crop farm. Your loan will enable her to improve her banana crop production through the use of quality farm inputs. This intervention will help her to meet the increasing demand for crops in the market, and in the process generate more income to repay the loan debt and improve her family's quality of life. She also hopes to improve the conditions of her house.

Zipporah, her husband, and their children heavily rely on the goodwill of lenders so that they can achieve their dreams. Take action and lend now!
