Rebecca's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy farm inputs such as fertilizers to improve her passion fruit farm and eventually, through profits, improve her standard of living.

Rebecca's story

Rebecca is a mother of children who has always remained very hardworking and focused towards success. She is very hardworking despite the series of failures that she has had to pass through in her life.

She has been farming for the past few years. Her hometown is in Litein, a host to many Kenyan elite athletes. Here she practices mixed farming in order to support her family.

Although she makes a profit from passion fruit farming, Rebecca's standard of living is not comfortable. She has always wanted to increase her income by buying quality fertilizer and other farm inputs. She has requested this loan to make these investments and improve her passion fruit farming. The increased profits will eventually improve her standard of living.

The Litein area, one of the country's most populated regions, has a high demand for passion fruit. This means that Rebecca could increase her profits by meeting the existing demand for passion fruit. Rebecca is grateful that Juhudi Kilimo is partnering with Kiva lenders to help hardworking and honest women farmers like herself turn their farming dreams into reality through training and loan financing. Rebecca is a special and zealous person and is grateful for the help and support of her Kiva lenders.
