Abizeranye B Group's story

Gorette is a 44-year-old businesswoman from Nyamata District. She is married and has four children between the ages of 4 and 14. Gorette sells fruits such as avocados, bananas, passion fruit, and tree tomatoes. She is the leader of the group named “Abizeranye B”. In the photo, she is the woman with her hand raised.

The challenge for Gorette is having to acquire fruits from places that are far from where she lives and where her business is located. However, she is not discouraged because she wants to achieve a better life. Gorette is requesting a loan to purchase more fruits such as avocados, bananas, passion fruit, and tree tomatoes to sell in her community.

With the profits she earns, Gorette will be able to set aside some savings for her family. She will continue to educate her children without any problems, as well as expand her business that has been in operation for almost five years. As a result, she can provide for the needs of her children and still earn a living. Gorette and her group try to pay back their loans on time. Her dream for herself and her children is to become successful in life. With the help of the Kiva lenders, she believes that she can have a better way of living.
