Juan Dolio 1 Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy trousers, T-shirts, brassieres, and other garments to sell.

Juan Dolio 1 Group's story

Ilene is a young woman who is 24 years of age. She lives in the province of San Pedro de Macorís in the Dominican Republic. This province is known for having the largest number of sugar processing plants in the country. Ilene sells new clothes in San Pedro and has been doing this for five years. Thanks to this business, she is able to generate income to sustain her family. Ilene is a mother of two children who motivate her each day. She tries to provide them the best from her work.

Ilene would like for her family to live in a concrete house someday. Most of the people of San Pedro, especially those who live in the town of Juan Dolio, have wooden houses. It is very dangerous to be living in a wooden house during hurricane season. Having a concrete house would give Ilene’s family security and peace of mind.

She needs the assistance of the lenders so that she can buy more clothes to sell. By having more merchandise, Ilene can grow her business and her earnings, which would bring her closer to having a house of her own.

Thank you for contributing to the “Juan Dolio 1” solidarity group.
