Rebecca's story
Greetings from Liberia. This is 52-year-old Rebecca. She is divorced with 5 children; all her children are in school, and four live on their own.
Rebecca attended school until 12th grade. She runs a business selling cooked food. She learned how to sell from her mother. She uses a car to transport supplies to her business site. She has been a hard-working businesswoman for 12 years now. She faces no problems with her business.
Rebecca likes her business because it gives her profits on a daily basis. She applied for a loan through BRAC Liberia and Kiva to buy more ingredients to prepare cooked food to sell and generate greater profits. She plans to use her profits to help her children at home.
In the future Rebecca would like to build her house. She wishes to say thanks to BRAC and Kiva.
