Imelda's story

Imelda is a good resident of Guimba, Nueva Ecija. She is 53 years old and happily married to Jose, a farmer. They are blessed with 3 children who are still pursuing their studies.

Imelda has been engaged in a piggery business for about 12 years where they sell pig meat in the market which is the source of their daily living. Imelda has been a good paying client of Alalay sa Kaunlaran (ASKI) Inc. for almost 11 years.

Imelda has been granted a loan amounting to P50,000.00 under the agricultural business loan program of ASKI. Her loan will be used to buy feed and vitamins for their pigs. Imelda has a plan to expand her piggery business so that she was able to create employment. She believes that with the help of ASKI and KIVA lenders, her piggery will expand.
